The Analysis Center performs three basic functions:
- Quality Control. For the QA Department, the Analysis Center tests samples from different product lines to facilitate management decision-making.
- R&D Support. For the R&D Department, the Analysis Center provides testing services to help scientists and engineers refine products.
- Contract Analysis Services. For companies other than BGG, the Analysis Center provides contract-testing services.
Leveraging extensive experience in analysis, our capabilities include:
- Routine analysis on ash, moisture, loss on drying and more
- Instrument analysis on concentrates, PAH, pesticides and heavy metals, as well as other hazards.
- Microbial analysis on yeast, mold, salmonella, E. Coli and other microbes
To ensure reliable test results, our Analysis Center uses advanced analytic technology and instruments including:
- GC/MS: 2 sets
- HPLC: 16 sets
- GC: 4 sets
- AAS: 1 set
- UV: 4 sets
- FT-IR: 1 set
Research and Development
The director of Beijing Gingko Group’s Research and Development (R&D) Center, Dr. Yanmei Li leads a highly skilled and experienced group of 60 well-educated researchers. In fact, 90 percent of our R&D Team holds at least a bachelor’s degree. As a result of our commitment to ongoing research and dedication to developing market-leading products, our extracts and derivatives – including licorice, bilberry and natural palm and rice tocotrienol, mixed tocopherols (Natural Vitamin E) – are consistently ranked as international pioneers.
The R&D Center creates, implements and evaluates proprietary research techniques, technologies and procedures, thoroughly supervises R&D operations and manages all related administration. The R&D team also drafts and files all patent applications. Currently, BGG owns three patents and has six patents pending.
For our own development purposes as well as on a contract basis for partner companies, BGG takes on projects ranging from new drug development to customization based on specific customer requests. We have fine-tuned our R&D processes for expedient product development using advanced detection instruments and analysis methodology. By routinely updating these systems, BGG continually meets stringent, constantly changing food and drug safety requirements, supporting the quality objectives of our products.
The R&D team closely follows trends in international and domestic quality administration regulations and refines product specifications accordingly. Additionally, we have established industry-standard process control, enabling the continuous enhancement of new product development and quality administration. In effect, our approach to research and development ensures ongoing customer satisfaction by staying at the forefront of technology and related disciplines.
To strengthen our R&D capabilities, BGG has formed close relationships with China’s top universities, such as Peking University Medical School, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing Capital University of Medical Sciences, Beijing Union University, Lanzhou University and Lanzhou Medical College.
